NHL: The Semi-Finals!

Round 3 Is Underway

Round two was a quiet one on the western side as for the eastern side it was a wild one. The New York Rangers were down in the series three games to one and the came all way back and won it in games seven at MSG (4-3). Tampa Bay Lighting beat Montreal Canadians in six games (4-2).

As for the western conference, Chicago Blackhawks swept Minnesota Wild (4-0). Anaheim Ducks beat the Calgary Flames in 5 games (4-1). The third round is expected to be a good one. On the eastern side we have Tampa Bay heading to New York for game 1 on Saturday against the Rangers.

Tampa Bay hasn’t been to the conference since 2004 for when they went on to win the Stanley cup with the help of Marty St. Louis and Dan Boyle, both players now play for the New York Rangers. The Rangers are in the conference final for the third time in four years.

On the western side we have Chicago Blackhawks up against the Anaheim Ducks, which series will begin on Sunday. The winners of each round will play each other in a series of seven to win the greatest trophy in a hockey players head, the Stanley Cup.
