In any shape or form the end results, whether it continues afterward or stops at a certain time comes full circle. In the world of professional wrestling, it seems likes one promotion in the New York area has come full circle. We’ve been fortunate to join these passionate and creative individuals making their dreams become a reality. During this one year anniversary event any and everything can happen. Like the neighboring promotions (5 Boroughs Wrestling, Warriors Of Wrestling, & 2KW Pro) Tier 1 Wrestling has provided a diverse and different product as careers are constantly being defined, Tier 1 Wrestling has consistently delivered on their promise for their survival.
It all started on July 10th, 2015 at St. Finbar Catholic Church in Brooklyn, New York and now culminates with passion, drive, innovation, storytelling, and wrestling. On July 10th, 2016, an even broader and prosperous future will go down in the history book as Tier 1 Wrestling Presents: “One Year Later…”

In the wake of the announcement, many pieces of news broke from Fred Yehi making his return to Tier 1 Wrestling for the big celebration. Despite his tough loss at the WWE Cruiserweight Classic qualifier, his dedication and passion for the sport of wrestling have won him the FIP (Full Impact Pro) Heavyweight Champion, Caleb Konley, who held the championship for nearly a year. Following all the excitement for the one-year celebration the Tier 1 Wrestling management team has announced a truly special match that even has the ambassador the World Wrestling Network, Trevin Adams hyped. ‘The Resurrector of Wrestling’ Fred Yehi has his hands full as Six Way Fray winner ‘The EmpBruh’ Black Baron & CZW Best of the Best 2016 winner, ‘The Octopus’ Jonathan Gresham challenge for the FIP Heavyweight Championship. All three lay claim to being the champion of FIP as they’ve all had a memorable 2016 thus far, but only one can walk out of ‘One Year Later…’ champion. As this is being built as an edge-of-your-seat three-way elimination match the question that has the fans, the locker room, and the athletes involved wondering is who will come out on top as the FIP Heavyweight Championship may be retained or possibly bring an end to the era of resurrection.

Tier 1 Wrestling is all about showcasing champions that take pride in their craft. ‘The Elite Athlete’ is one of those athletes that loves to show why he’s the best there is no matter the challenge before him. Like Yehi, Mike Orlando will be making his return to Tier 1 Wrestling, but this time instead of dealing with the Cutthroat Kings, ‘The Elite Athlete’ will be defending the Sanctuary Heavyweight Championship for the first time in New York City. At the behest of the champion after, some unfinished business with the Cutthroat Kings it seems Orlando requested to put this business all behind him by facing a member of the devious crew. Due to two of three members of the original Kings trio being involved with the first round of the Tier 1 Tag Team Championship Tournament, Orlando has his sights set on the monster of Cutthroat Kings, Juba. After turning on him and having the notion of causing AnnaTheresa Treppiedi harm ‘The Elite Athlete’ truly has no problems beating sense into Juba.
What celebration would it be if someone didn’t have a live musical performance? Tier 1 has announced on May 26th, at the “One Year Later…” will be action filled with special performances by Cliz & Monteasy performing hits “Tier 1”, “Triumphant”, and “Heart of A Warrior” presented by Moore To Life Entertainment.

It was the first time they would team up together. The aftermath of ‘Rise Or Die Trying’ it would seem an unlikely tag team was formed. During Tier 1 Wrestling ‘March To Victory’ in the fatal 4-way tag team ’bout the newly formed Monkey Flip would get their first taste of victory against some amazing teams. On July 10th, the first round of Tier 1 Tag Team Championship Tournament will start with a little monkeying around mixed with some heavy hitting tag team actions. The reunited aerial styling of Monkey Flip (Travis ‘Flip’ Gordon & Space Monkey) will be returning to Tier 1 for the huge opportunity to advance to round 2. With the interaction from the fanbase the crowd favorites may have some trouble as the team of The Closers, ‘Big Bacon’ Brad Hollister and ‘The Best Around’ TK O’Ryan as they are considered one of the biggest tag teams from the Northeast. Make no mistake Hollister and Ryan have no trouble taking over the ring with their tough tag team style. The Closers’ will make their Tier 1 debut, but will it be the aerial assault taking this round or will Hollister and Ryan live up to the very name that makes them different than the rest?

Tier 1 management is making sure that the one year anniversary will not be a flyby event as they focus crowning their new Tier 1 Tag Team Champions. The tournament will feature tag teams battling for the right to be called, Tier 1 Tag Team Champions. Many teams seem to be pitching their names into the tournament, but Tier 1 management is calling the shots. One team that have unannounced opponents is a strange and dominant force of crusaders trying to engulf the world of wrestling with their revolutionary vision of change, Minute Men (Devin Blaze & Tommy Trainwreck). With the strange appearing much later in the tournament during, “One Year Later…” the first match for the Tag Team Championship Tournament was announced but under forceful circumstances. The Cutthroat Kings have been causing nothing, but havoc trying to get their anarchistic point across that nobody will tell them what to do and they will do anything they want by any means. It was seen clearly as they threatened Tier 1 Wrestling official Chris Ruiz by demanding contracts. Unfortunately, they got what they demanded, but it won’t be easy to win the tournament as their opponents are the team of ‘Booty & the Beast’ (Sonny Kiss & Alex Mason) beginning the biggest tournament being hosted in New York.

On May 30th, Tier 1 Wrestling introduced another idea that will bring more interaction with the fans. The philosophy that the fans of any product being a huge part of the show is a true enough fact that there’s no arguing. For the first time, they want you to cast your vote for what’s called the Six Way Fray Redemption. This is the last match to fill the spot for The Final Fray which the winner of the final fray will get a shot for the Tier 1 Heavyweight Championship. To vote for your favorite click the link; www.opinionstage.com. ‘El Presidente’ Pinkie Sanchez, who dazzled the audience in attendance with his bizarre style at ‘METEORIC’. At “One Year Later” he will be competing again to steal the show, especially when the “Best In the World” CM Punk endorses you. Even though his unorthodox style makes for multiple eye-catching moments his promo video definitely speaks volumes on his intentions with the one-year event approaching. As his tag team partner Brandon Watts is recovering from his injury the next competitor voted by the fans is 1/2 of the vocal-twerking team ‘Milk Chocolate’. For the first time, Randy Summers will be stepping into the Tier 1 Wrestling ring as a singles competitor. Will the six-pack flashing help Summers get the opportunity to compete in The Final Fray or will tag team wrestling be the only aspect of wrestling Summers is seeing this season? The third competitor is one who will be calculating his every move in his attempt to participate in The Final Fray. ‘The Abominable’ CPA will be watching carefully to make the ‘One Year Later…’ a chaotic number crunching display to get the one, two, and three. So don’t miss out on the action as three more spots left.

We love this promotion so much that each match has a meaning to it. The story being told can be personal or professional, but they way to settle it is in the squared circle. It doesn’t seem like one outweighs the other or the case of this next match it seems like a personal issue and something of professionalism on the other hand. David Starr returns to Tier 1 as he’s looking to redeem himself from the first round of the Six Way Elimination Fray series and JGeorge is looking to prove that he’s capable of competing in Tier 1 and be a part of FEDERATED. A lot is riding on this match as JGeorge has made it apparent that he will leave FEDERATED and Tier 1 Wrestling if he loses this match. We now know that the Six Way Fray can change a competitors mindset as Gran Akuma’s vicious side revealed itself after he lost in the fourth Six Way Fray series. Akuma would go on to focus his mind on the current Tier 1 champion, Rude Boy Riley with surprise attacks.
That being said, another match being discussed that pertains to Gran Akuma and Tier 1 Wrestling champion, Rude Boy Riley. It was at ‘March To Victory’ when Gran Akuma would attack the champion as earlier in the weeks stating that it’s all or nothing if he were to lose the Six Way Fray series at the event. Later in the night, after he lost the opportunity, a vicious side of Akuma came out as he executed a devastating maneuver on Rude Boy Riley. Fast forward to ‘METEORIC’ where the 14-year veteran attacks the champion again. Tier 1 management would address the issue at hand by stating “…Sneak attacks don’t warrant championship matches, but we know that ‘The Fresh Prince of Shaolin’ wants a piece of the fourteen-year vet. If Akuma wants to face the champion, he’s going to have to earn it,…” In the actions done by Tier 1 management, a special tag team match has been announced where both Gran Akuma and Rude Boy Riley will have to find their tag partners for the upcoming match. Who will tag up with two decorated athletes in a rivalry that continues to escalate with each encounter?

If it wasn’t like Tier 1 Wrestling could get any more compelling that would simply be a false allegation as Tier 1 official, Chris Ruiz has created an innovative venture. Interestingly called Wrestlers’ Laboratory, this project will showcase some great talent on the independent scene today much like Tier 1 Wrestling. As Ruiz calls it, ‘The Lab’ will feature new faces and new matches. The project will launch volume 1 as it’s set to debut the same night as ‘One Year Later…” featuring, Mr. Grim, Dicky Moon, Steve Scott, Adrian Armour, Mike Law, Ryan Galeone, & Brick Mastone. It’s not just a Tier 1 experiment as six other promotions have put their creative brains together to create this innovative brand.
Mr. Grim: Violence Promised [Promo] & Dicky Moon: Peace Is The Answer [Promo]

We will be updating this page as the information is provided, so stay tuned for more.
