One star has everybody talking in the WWE!

In professional wrestling, talent and charisma go hand in hand. LA Knight, a dynamic performer making waves in WWE, is one rising star who embodies both. With his unique blend of athleticism, mic skills, and larger-than-life persona, LA Knight has captured the attention of fans worldwide.

Introduction

Born as Eli Drake on November 11, 1982, in Los Angeles, California, the man who would become LA Knight grew up with a passion for sports entertainment. He possessed a natural ability to captivate audiences, which eventually led him on the path to WWE. Before his arrival on WWE’s main roster, Knight built a successful career on the independent circuit, honing his skills and gaining experience against various opponents.

Rejoining WWE (2021)

LA Knight made his WWE debut on the black-and-gold brand NXT in early 2021. With his confident swagger and undeniable talent, he quickly made an impression on fans and fellow competitors. His most notable rivalry with Cameron Grimes was when Knight aligned with WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase. DiBiase would re-introduce the WWE Million Dollar Championship. Knight would win the title in a ladder match against Grimes at TakeOver: In Your House. Ultimately, the rivalry would end with Knight losing the title in August 2022 after DiBiase turned on him. Knight’s charismatic personality and smooth in-ring style helped him become an instant fan favorite, while his engaging promos kept viewers hooked week after week.

Persona & Style

LA Knight’s rise in WWE has been nothing short of impressive. While his journey is still in progress, he has already achieved some notable accomplishments. Knight has displayed incredible versatility in his short time with the company, whether as a solo competitor or as part of a tag team. Though championships have eluded him thus far, it seems only a matter of time before LA Knight claims his first title in WWE.

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet’s Insight Podcast, LA Knight commented on bringing in a persona he did in TNA (Impact Wrestling),

I’ve considered. Some people want it, but 90% of the people probably done even know. I don’t know, I mean if it came out organically, maybe, but I don’t wanna crowbar things. That’s the thing, I’ve never forced any lines. Now, at this point, I’ve got programmed stuff that’s in there, here, there, wherever. But, in it’s original form, it was all kinda stuff that happened. Then it’d be like, ‘oh that’s cool, let’s keep that.’ Could it come back? Maybe sprinkle it in here or there, you never know.
