E3 2018 isn’t over yet — to us at least — and the one game that was announced that’s still shrouded in mystery despite a few details is The Quiet Man exclusively for PS4 and PC. Especially since many felt that the Square Enix press conference was a little underwhelming due it duration, but this mysterious game did provide some relief for that emotion. The Quiet Man appears to be a sort of combat adventure with a few things that’s never been featured in the video game before, a mute man apparently fighting crime. That’s suggested by the video game’s tagline “silence rings the loudest”.
The trailer will have you captivated as it doesn’t show much but the mute man walking in the night and fighting in an alleyway in what looks like a modern-day New York setting. Another interesting take from the trailer is the usage of live-action and CGI.
The game is being directed as an FMV-like style project, which blends of reality and video game graphics. According to Square Enix, they describe The Quiet Man as a project that’s capable of delivering, “an immersive story driven cinematic action experience, which can be completed in one sitting. Seamlessly blending high-production live action, realistic CG, and pulse-pounding action gameplay.”
The Quiet Man is currently in development for PC and PlayStation 4.
