“Gambling With Fate” Featuring: Tribe Chillin | Presented by: SPARX Entertainment©
J. Johnson: Were there any memorable performances that stands out from 2015’s shows? Any artists you worked with, tracks the fans gravitated towards, and/or the vibes from each show.
Dreamcatcher: Yes I will never forget the weekend that we had two shows in Arizona back in Oct. of 2015. Unfortunately the Cloud & AndWhy couldn’t make it to the first one, which was on a Friday in Downtown Phoenix. It was just Chief, Wave & me! So it’s about 20 mins. into our set and we had a pretty good crowd by then, then all of a sudden the DJ’s speaker blew out and that was it. We still had fun and just laughed it off in the end, I guess we just went to hard. The show the next day definitely made up for it though
Chief; For the show that stood out the most for me would be either the show with Caskey from young money or the Halloween Sunday Riot we did down at Civilian Headquarters because we were invited as well as it being a new place for us performing! The song that I think people gravitated to was Mo’ $$ by Flow Simpson, Haresha, and myself produced by MMLZ also the art was dope shout out to Fox!
Wave: When I dropped my single “It Feels Good To Feel Good”, I got more local love than ever before. Since then I feel like I’ve been hitting my stride musically. I look to grow from that point.

J. Johnson: In “Adapt or Perish” you guys stated “I think our city is a crazy place to start a music career. There are so many shows in Las Vegas, but very few are all ages or even 18+, so we’re playing for crowds that are mostly older than us.” Have you been able to target that older demographic with your music or has a younger crowd caught on to support?
Cloud: I think that it’s been a lot better this past year with getting more of our friends and fans to shows. Some shows we do are 18+ and now some of our friends have actually turned 21.
Tribe Chillin: We’ve captured more in the younger to same age crowd more than older folks but some still definitely can vibe to it!
Dreamcatcher: I’d say we’ve gained the support and attention from a good mixture of both a young and older crowd in the past year!
J. Johnson: Chief went “rogue” lol. Actually, Chief went and did ‘Mindful Living’ which featured a lot of the group’s members in various ways. What was it like for each to still being The Tribe, but having separate actions when it came to either producing or being featured on the mixtape?
Dreamcatcher: I thought it was really cool of the Chief to give each of us our own slot on his debut album. Each of us got the chance to express what mindful living means to us and I really enjoyed everyone’s feature on the album
Wave: I think “Mindful Living” is exactly how a legit “Tribe” release should be. A lot of time and effort was put in by Chief, getting all the producers/collaborations together, then sitting in mixing sessions for weeks and being followed up with great social media campaign/merchandising, all while pushing a positive message and involving all of us. Much love to Chief for that one.
J. Johnson: Do you believe that ‘Mindful Living’ brought new ears to your music? If yes, explain.
Chief: I definitely think Mindful Living brought new ears to the music but I feel that every project any of us drop brings new ears to the music!
J. Johnson: Wave you were featured in a track with a fellow friend of the group Deanmora, what was the inspiration behind “Don’t Let It Go”?
Wave: Dean has been a close friend of mine for years, he’s seen me progress and grow as a musician just as much as I’ve seen him grow. We’ve got a great mutual respect for each other and our visions. Most of our songs start with conversations. We produce the track together bouncing ideas off each other before finally arriving at a cohesive topic to write about. There is much more music coming from him and I.

J. Johnson: It’s New Year’s Eve and you guys are about to perform in showcase entitled, ‘FXRM’. Lots of upcoming stars like yourselves are about to tear the roof of the place. Takes us through that moment.
Wave: I think it was a lot of fun to be thrown in the mix with a lot of cool Vegas locals. We really built our following from nothing, so it’s a blessing to involved in anything like that.
