No Good Deed
Idris Elba is back on the big screen this autumn in No Good Deed, and features in the brand new teaser trailer.
Elba has taken ona wide range of roles during his career, but it is not very often that we have seen him play the villain… all that is about to change.
Playing the villain is a welcome change for Elba, who was last seen starring in the 2013 biopic Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. ”It’s nice to have a contrast in your career,” he says. ”I’ve got a very loyal following, and I just like to keep them guessing as to what I’m going to do next.”
No Good Deed marks the return of Sam Miller to feature film, after working extensively in television in recent years.
The movie sees Miller reunite with Elba having worked together on hit TV series Luther.
Terri (Henson) is a devoted wife and mother of two, living an ideal suburban life in Atlanta when Colin (Elba), a charming but dangerous escaped convict, shows up at her door claiming car trouble.
Terri offers her phone to help him but soon learns that no good deed goes unpunished as she finds herself fighting for survival when he invades her home and terrorizes her family.
We are big fans of Idris Elba here at FemaleFirst, and I can’t wait to see him tackle this very different role.
No Good Deed is released 21st November.
