A look at Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer & Master Chief.

During Xbox/Bethesda Showcase, Microsoft offered a refreshing look at Halo Infinite. 343 Industries shared a new clip from the game’s single-player campaign, showing off a sequence where Master Chief navigates a section of a low-gravity level with his new grappling hook tool. When then, meet a new artificial intelligence that looks like Dr. Catherine Halsey whom turns into Cortana. The clip ends with him taking the AI along.

Microsoft would follow this with a look at Halo Infinite’s multiplayer. Infinite’s Creative Lead, Joe Staten detailed some of what we would see in the trailer.

A major focus for our team is the content we’ll deliver after the game has shipped, and work has already started on our first year of content — and beyond. You saw some examples of that effort in our Multiplayer Trailer, with tons of Spartan customization options that will be part of our very first season, “Heroes of Reach,” including a super-sweet Yoroi Spartan. And in case you were wondering, the Yoroi armor is free and you can unlock it just by playing events in Season 1.

We would also learn that the team at 343 Industries will be introducing the Spartan Academy and Spartan Commander Laurette to help player get familiarized with maps, weapons and equipment. Also, the introduction of bot matches will be coming to Halo: Infinite so players new to the franchise can warm up before heading into the battle with hardcore and other new players fighting for supremacy. More content will be released for the bots and Academy over time as the game fully progresses.

Halo Infinite is due for release this holiday season.
