Sony definitely allowed their games do all the talking as the footage shown was truly breathtaking. Despite games like Resident Evil & The Last of Us 2, there was another attention-grabbing moment that literally felt like you were watching a movie, Marvel’s Spider-Man. During Sony’s E3 press conference, we got another look at Insomniac Games‘ Spider-Man. In just three months the game will be released and this showcase depicted why the game will be one of the good ones since Spider-Man 2.
The gameplay demo shows Spider-Man heading to the prison housing New York’s most dangerous criminals known as RAFT. At the top of the building, Electro is there and sends Spider-Man’s plane down. The trailer shows Spider-Man taking out inmates only to be stopped by an iconic villain such as Rhino, Scorpion, and Vulture. As he encounters all these villains, Spider-Man is trying to capture Electro but goes through various obstacles just to get him.

In the end, we see Spider-Man encounter another villain, Mr. Negative and eventually overcome by the combined force, the gameplay demo teases the ending with another character. It was revealed later, that the other character showing up was a “mysterious sixth villain”. Marvel’s Spider-Man could very well be teasing the appearance of the Sinister Six. One line in the trailer that suggests that —althought vague— the sixth villain could be Harry or Henry Osborn aka the Green Goblin. When Spider-Man said, “Where did you get your suit from?” Vulture would reply, “Now that’s a secret” before getting shot in the face with Spidey’s web.
The surprise may not be finalized but with the game due for release on September 7th, Marvel’s Spider-Man will definitely come out with more information very soon.
