Visuals and story speak volumes.
Sony‘s E3 press conference was a gaming thrill ride as we saw some amazing footage for the upcoming Holiday season. One game in particular that had many people in mesmerizing shock was a Sony and Sucker Punch Productions entitled, Ghost of Tsushima. The presentation was dripping with style as the main protagonist rode a horse through the field, fought a horde of soldiers. This game is full of stunning shots and moments that a trailer isn’t enough for this game.
In a stunning environment full of bellowing trees and a vicious storm heading the way of the protagonist, the PlayStation 4 provides an exclusive look in the first gameplay preview that’s ever been revealed. The story takes the player to the year of 1274, where Samurai warriors are the legendary defenders of Japan until the fearsome Mongol Empire invaders the island of Tsushima, Japan wrecking havoc and conquering the local population.”
During the preview, Sucker Punch‘s explained, “As one of the last surviving samurai, you rise from the ashes to fight back. But honorable tactics won’t lead you to victory. You must move beyond your samurai traditions to forge a new way of fighting—the way of the Ghost—as you wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Japan.“
Sucker Punch delves deep int the game an what its intentions were as they stressed that they wanted their next open-world to have a strong sense of player’s choice. It was also revealed by, creative director Jason Connell that Ghost of Tsushima will be a game of action, stealth, adventure all the while driving points of the game from “…the historical point in time where the Mongol army invaded the island of Tsushima.“
Sucker Punch‘s Nate Fox would leave us with this about Ghost of Tusushima, “All those locations are in engine. They’re in the world. That’s the place that you’re going to defend, a huge island filled a lot of different places, towns, people. There’s so much to learn; there’s so much to see.“
Ghost of Tsushima is currently in development and doesn’t have a release date yet.
