Paul W.S. Anderson has taken one of Capcom‘s beloved franchises and turned it into a six-part sequel. Many can dispute when the film series should have ended but nevertheless the fact that six has been made tells that fans are willing to see more Resident Evil movie as long as it makes sense to the story. It all started with a security breach in Umbrella‘s lab facilities known as ‘The Hive’ once the virus was careless unleashed all hell broke loose. From Apocalypse to Retribution we’ve seen the evolution of the T-Virus taking over the world. It would bring humanity to the brink of extinction with only a few survivors trying to survive along with taking down the Umbrella Corporation all together to bring an end to the virus entirely.

We get closer and closer to the January 27th, 2017 release date and for nearly 15 years after the franchise first started, Milla Jovovich will finally see the end of her iconic character Alice come to an end. Today, Sony Pictures has debuted a new motion poster, featuring a new look at Alice. It looks as if the flame-retardant pants and the lower half of her body is on fire. Could indicate that her survival is not guaranteed which would be a shocker for most fans, as she would literally decimate anyone who stood in her way. Sony Pictures and Screen Gems have confirmed that ‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’ will be heading to New York Comic-Con, with Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter set to attend along with new cast member William Levy and writer/director Paul W.S. Anderson.

Here’s a synopsis:

Picking up immediately after the events in “Resident Evil: Retribution,” Alice (Milla Jovovich) is the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead. Now, she must return to where the nightmare began – The Hive in Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter cast members include some of the franchise’s beloved characters such as Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory), Leon Scott Kennedy (Johann Urb), Ada Wong (Li Bingbing), her daughter Becky (Aryanna Engineer), Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts), Chris Redfield (Wentworth Miller), Claire Redfield (Ali Larter), Kmart (Spencer Locke). New cast members include Dr. Alexander Isaacs (Iain Glen), Abigail (Ruby Rose), Lee (Jun-ki Lee), Doc (Eoin Macken), Christian (William Levy), Michael (Fraser James), and Cobalt (Japanese model, Rola).

Along with Paul W.S. Anderson directing and have written the screenplay Jeremy Bolt, Robert Kulzer, and Samuel Hadida co-writes as well. Martin Moszkowicz and Victor Hadida serve as executive producers for this franchise finale.
