The Cutthroat Kings vs. Viking War Party – ‘Tier 1 Wrestling Tag Team Championship Tournament’

“Street Justice is the name of the game when the Viking War Party enters the building. The abide by no code edict of Jake Parnell and Alexandre Rudolph was followed by them in search of empty chairs and launching many into the ring forcing the Kings to participate. Tier 1 management decided to just avoid the issues at hand and made it a no disqualification match. The brawl became the most chaotic fight that Brooklyn has ever seen and with a lot of bodies in the way being tossed around what else could be said. The numbers game had its advantages to for ‘The Cutthroat Kings’ coming out on top the victors of the match to advance to Round 2 in the ‘Tier 1 Wrestling Tag Team Championship Tournament’.

‘The Unpredictable’ JGeorge vs. Curt ‘The Lone Star’ Stallion

Coming up next was, JGeorge coming out to compete however he wasn’t facing the opponent he was scheduled to face due to injury which tends to happen in professional wrestling. David Starr was in attendance witnessing the event and came out to speak his peace about not competing and how sorry he was to the audience. JGeorge would face off against Curt ‘The Lone Star’ Stallion, but ‘The Unpredictable’ JGeorge’s mind was still focused on his prior opponent. Even though Stallion put up a worthy effort, JGeorge would come out victorious. After the match, the heated exchange seemed to be wearing on the mind of JGeorge as he made comments towards David Starr being injured. David Starr would get the microphone and completely go off on JGeorge (directed towards the man himself). As the audience was stunned, JGeorge had to be forcibly pushed to the back to avoid the show being canceled.

Monkey Flip vs. The Closers – ‘Tier 1 Wrestling Tag Team Championship Tournament’

The next match for the ‘Tier 1 Wrestling Tag Team Championship Tournament’. Monkey Flip (Space Monkey & Travis “Flip” Gordon) have seemed to be a cohesive team as they only have teamed once. They already have signature team maneuvers that get the audience invested in them. The Closers (TK O’Ryan & Brad Hollister) are also two great singles competitors that know the ring just like Monkey Flip. The match as a whole made for an entertaining one as the uncomfortable feeling began to dissipate. Despite a good effort, The Closers didn’t quite have what it took to ground high-flying team. Monkey Flip would move onto round 2 with an amazing effort.

‘The EmpBruh’ Black Baron vs. ‘The Octopus’ Jonathan Gresham vs. ‘The Resurrector of Wrestling’ Fred Yehi – FIP World Heavyweight Championship

We got a little… NO A LOT of some phenomenal wrestling as the FIP World Heavyweight Championship was contested in Brooklyn with three rising professional wrestlers. ‘The EmpBruh’ Black Baron, ‘The Octopus’ Jonathan Gresham, and “The Resurrector of Wrestling” Fred Yehi each with their own style and bar none amazing athletes that brought IT to Brooklyn. Yehi, as a champion and professional wrestler today made this match special along with the talents of Baron and Gresham as they knew each other so well. The reversals-escapes, and the fast pace that literally if you blinked you would miss a moment. Remember writing earlier that this was possibly going to be the ‘match of the year’ quality and it delivered. In the end, Yehi proved why he’s the champion in a deserving way. You can never sell Black Baron and Jonathan Gresham short as in my eyes they didn’t lose.

Team I.O.U. vs. The New Heavenly Bodies – ‘Tier 1 Tag Team Championship Tournament’

The final match in Round 1 of the ‘Tier 1 Tag Team Championship Tournament’ co-main event due to be dominant in the world of professional wrestling. You can’t argue that fact… Maybe! Team I.O.U. and The New Heavenly Bodies made their names by simply taking care of business when they step through the ropes. Kerry Awful and Nick Iggy would simply kick ass and stay true to their southern pro-wrestling roots. On the other side, you have Desirable Dustin and Gigolo Justin take-no-prisoners, but just because they have heavenly bodies doesn’t mean they won’t lay devastation into their opponent. As Team I.O.U. would proclaim to the audience that they are the good guys they definitely fought their hardest, however, The Bodies would walk away a with the victory moving to Round 2 of the tag team tournament.

Gran Akuma/Darius Carter vs. Rude Boy Riley/Matt Riddle

It’s main event time! Gran Akuma and ‘Wrestling’s Richest Prize’ Darius Carter against the team of former UFC Fighter and current EVOLVE standout, Matt Riddle and Tier 1 Champion Rude Boy Riley. With the stipulation added that if Team Akuma wins then, he gets a title shot at August 7th show, and if Akuma wins the title then, Carter will get his title match. However, Riddle would get a title match against Riley if they would win the match. With the stakes high and a lot on the line for both sides, the ending saw a miscue that did send Riddle colliding into Riley. Carter has since taken credit for the miscue, which he did pull Riley in Riddle’s way. Akuma capitalized on the opportunity and got the victory for his team. Now it’s official Rude Boy Riley will defend the Tier 1 Championship one-on-one against Gran Akuma. Will Akuma win and will Darius Carter get his chance at the Tier 1 Championship or will Rude Boy Riley shut Akuma & Carter’s attempts to dethrone him down? All questions will be answered at the next event on August 7th.

Next event is, Tier 1 Wrestling Presents: ‘A Savior Amongst Us’ on August 7th!
