March 20th is the day! The day where Tier 1 Wrestling will host a monumental event that will be history in the making. Who will have their time to be victorious, as wrestling’s next-gen invades Brooklyn for Tier 1 Wrestling: “March To Victory“!

On December 4th of last year, Tier 1 Wrestling hosted an event that sent shockwaves throughout the independent wrestling circuit with the event ‘Rise Or Die Trying‘. It featured a variety of talented professional wrestlers that all had the one goal to entertain the fans in attendance whilst living their dream. We were definitely fortunate enough to witness the event up close and personal with photography and video footage of the event. Also had the honor to interview a veteran of professional wrestling Luke Hawx, where we learned a little insight on what drives him as a pro-wrestler and what his ultimates goal(s) were in the future. Prior to “Rise Or Die Trying“, Tier 1 would have already hosted events back in 2015 that also were held in NY. “A New Hope” & “Rumble In The Concrete Jungle” which served as platform events skyrocketing Tier 1 to new heights they envisioned.

At RODT, a very special match was announced for the event featuring two of indie’s prize fighters ready to clash. The current EVOLVE Champion Timothy Thatcher takes on the “Unbreakable” and former ROH World Heavyweight Champion Michael Elgin. Timothy Thatcher, a 6’3″ brawler that echoes the old school British style of wrestling. He’s definitely an interesting wrestler as his cold-hearted facial expressions and charismatic personality can’t be outweighed by his technical wrestling. Not only has he been called “The British Messiah”, he currently holds the EVOLVE Championship proving he’s all about business once it’s time to step through those ropes. One guy that can give Timothy Thatcher a run for his career is ‘Unbreakable’ Michael Elgin. Elgin is the rugged ground and pound-singlet wrestler that possesses immense power in the square circle. His entire career (so far) has been dedicated to the independent scene where his hard work earned him the ROH World Heavyweight Championship and many other titles, but championships won’t play the part in this match as he too can match the technical skills of Thatcher. As he pulls off some technical maneuvers along with power moves Elgin is going to give Thatcher a run for his money come March 20th.

As Thatcher/Elgin will be an amazing fight Tier 1’s Heavyweight Champion, RudeBoy Riley had issued a challenge to wrestlers that were ranked by WWE as top 5 guys that you might be seeing in NXT shortly. Those five guys are Timothy Thatcher, Johnny Gargano, Zack Sabre Jr., ‘Hot Sauce’ Tracy Williams, and ‘The Premier Athlete’ Tony Nese. RudeBoy Riley would go on to say “A lot of people have been asking me about my goals for the year 2016, and my answer to that is simply to prove that my name belongs in that conversation” On February 6th the challenge was answer which now sees RudeBoy Riley scheduled to defend his championship at ‘March To Victory‘ against the stunning professional wrestler, ‘The Premier Athlete’ Tony Nese. However, Riley is set to have his first Tier 1 title defense against ‘The International King of Swerve’ Shane Strickland at Revival Pro Wrestling‘s (RPW) ‘Clear And Present Danger‘ on February 27th. Furthermore, if Strickland defeats Riley the main event on 3/20 will become a Triple Threat between ‘The International King of Swerve’ Shane Strickland, ‘The Fresh Prince of Shaolin’ RudeBoy Riley, and ‘The Premier Athlete’ Tony Nese.

Even though they’re only two matches that are in the works at this point and time, some of Tier 1’s regulars are scheduled to appear. ‘Wrestling’s Richest Prize’ Darius Carter, Gran Akuma, Nutrious X, ‘Bonesaw’ Jessie Brooks, ‘The Unpredictable’ JGeorge, “The EmpBruh Of The Ring” Black Baron, ‘The Concrete Rose’ Sonny Kiss, and ‘The Carnivore’ Alex Mason, Travis ‘Flip’ Gordon, Space Monkey, Milk Chocolate, The Spring Street Suicide Squad of Ken Lee and Chris Crunk, ‘The 5 Star Stud’ Joey Ace, ‘The Elite Athlete’ Mike Orlando, ‘Ms. New York’ Anna Treppiedi, Mike Law, JustNeph, and a SPECIAL APPEARANCE by an ECW Original and former WWE Superstar that you do not want to miss. Along with many more, this event will be one exciting thrill ride for the professional wrestling world. Thatcher vs. Elgin will bring the veteran flare to the night with some methodical & hard-hitting wrestling. As the possible Triple Threat or singles match with three of independents rising star in

Thatcher vs. Elgin will bring the veteran flare to the night with some methodical & hard-hitting wrestling. As the possible Triple Threat or singles match with three of independents rising star in Strickland, Nese, & Riley is all gunning to preserve their legacies, proving who’s the best, and to become/remain the Tier 1 Wrestling Heavyweight Championship.

The ‘Rise Or Die Trying‘ event seems to be spilling over into ‘March To Victory‘ as two rivals will be facing off ONE LAST TIME! Although ‘The Unpredictable’ JGeorge did get that vicious cheap shot on ‘Bonesaw’ Jessie Brooks it’s time to settle the score. These two determined athletes face off in an unprecedented LAST PERSON STANDING MATCH!

If you think ‘March To Victory‘ didn’t get sweeter, here’s another update from yesterday. Darius Carter’s “Brass Ring Open Invitational” at ‘Rise Or Die Trying managed to defeat two challengers trying to capture ‘Wrestling’s Richest Prize‘ Brass ring, but it seems the vicious and methodical Fred Yehi has answered the challenge from Darius Carter. Interesting, not even the word to use for something that will be phenomenally insane!

So here’s the updated Match Card:

Tier 1 Championship (Singles/Triple Threat)
Rude Boy Riley (c) vs. ‘The Premier Athlete’ Tony Nese
OR
Shane Strickland (c) vs. Rude Boy Riley vs. Tony Nese

FIRST TIME EVER
EVOLVE Champion Timothy Thatcher vs. ‘Unbreakable’ Michael Elgin

LAST PERSON STANDING
‘The Unpredictable’ JGeorge vs. ‘Bonesaw’ Jessie Brooks

DARIUS CARTER BRAS RING OPEN INVITATIONAL
‘Wrestling’s Richest Prize’ Darius Carter vs. Fred Yehi
