WWE: Shane McMahon The Next Guest On ‘Live! With Chris Jericho’?

Shane McMahon has been out of WWE for quite some time now, and since his departure in 2010, Shane hasn’t even made one appearance on WWE television. Lately, it seems that the WWE fans would like to see Shane back doing something with WWE, even if it’s making just one appearance.

At this year’s WrestleMania, during The Rock, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon segment, the crowd loudly chanted for Shane McMahon, which Michael Cole acknowledged on commentary. Several months before that, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin asked Vince McMahon what happened to Shane, and this past Thursday night on the second ever Live! With Chris Jericho special on the WWE Network, Jericho asked Stephanie McMahon about the possibility of Shane returning to WWE.

All of the Shane McMahon talk led WWE to putting up a poll on their website, asking the fans who they would like to see Jericho interview next. The available options are Seth Rollins, Hulk Hogan, Roman Reigns, Shane McMahon, Edge, Dean Ambrose, Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, The Rock, Bray Wyatt, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Batista, and Kane. Jericho has already had about half of the names listed on his podcast on PodcastOne. As of right now, Shane McMahon is in the lead with 19 percent of the votes, Brock Lesnar is in second place with 12 percent, and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is in third place with 10 percent.

Since Shane has been out of the company, he hasn’t publicly said anything negative about the McMahon family business. There are some theories that he left WWE due to being unhappy that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were going to be the new Vince McMahon whenever Vince steps aside. However, like most gossip surrounding the wrestling business, that’s just a rumor.

There always seems to be reports that Shane McMahon will be appearing at every year’s WrestleMania since his WWE departure, but, those reports never end up being true. Back at WrestleMania 25 — which was the last WrestleMania where Shane was a part of WWE — it was reported that WWE was planning to have Shane welcome the WWE fans to WrestleMania 25 at the beginning of the show the same way Vince McMahon did back at WrestleMania 3. Stephanie McMahon ultimately nixed the idea, which had people thinking that there was heat between the McMahon siblings. However, Stephanie said on the Chris Jericho podcast that she still has a great relationship with her brother and that they talk all the time.

If Shane McMahon does decide to return to WWE for just one appearance, or to be interviewed by Chris Jericho, the WWE fans will welcome him back with open arms, as it seems that he’s the most beloved McMahon.
