Q: What is your name, and name your group/band/act?
Enik Lin, IAMMEDIC
Q: Where are you from? How did you get your name?
Los Angeles, CA. At the time when I decided to form IAMMEDIC, I was going through a rough patch in my life. In the NIV bible, God’s name is referred to as “I AM”. In many parts of the Bible, you’ll also read stories about Jesus healing the sick. IAMMEDIC is basically my own made up term for GOD is the Doctor. Although, I admit to being a pretty crappy Christian, I’ve always believed and felt my need for God to heal me. IAMMEDIC as a project has been my own story of healing.
Q: Who are your band members? And how long have you guy been performing together?
I started IAMMEDIC back in 2008 as a solo side project to my main gig in a rock band called Burning Tree Project. Unfortunately, that year, Burning Tree Project decided to call it quits and in 2010, I decided to take IAMMEDIC fulltime. At that point, Andre Harris and Danny Park joined up. About a year later, we linked up with DJ YUP. During one of our scheduled US tours, Yup was declined entry into the states for not having the correct Work Visa, so we were forced to continue without him. We continued doing shows with that lineup until late 2012, when I moved to Taiwan for a year to do music over there. Once I got back, Andre had decided to go back to school full-time to finish up his engineering degree so it was just Danny and myself for a bit. Yup ended up getting back into the states and we continued as a trio up until mid-2014. Recently, Danny has been focusing on his new Ktown Night Market Event Projects and DJ Yup is focusing on his solo career.

Q: How would you describe your music for the public audience?
We’re like an indie progressive pop electro group if that makes any sense. LOL
Q: Thinking back to early childhood, what was your first experience with music like? What song do you remember most as a child?
Well, I can’t remember a time in my life where I wasn’t experiencing music. Every member of my immediate family is a musician. My mom is a piano teacher, my father was an opera singer as a young adult and my sister and I were classically trained at a very young age.

Saw IAMMEDIC live Philadelphia. At milk boy performed back in 2012, was awesome!
