John Wick 4: Swords & Gun Fights; First Look (Trailer)

Our first look at the first trailer for John Wick 4 has Keanu Reeves battling Donnie Yen with swords, guns and Bill Skarsgard gets thrown into the mix.

It’s been three years since Chapter 3’s release and after being delayed for two years by the pandemic, John Wick: Chapter 4 has officially got its first trailer and release date. Keanu Reeves’ badass role as John Wick makes a return for chapter four, which premiered last Friday at SDCC when the actor made a surprise appearance to unveil the first trailer.

If there’s anything you can expect from a John Wick trailer is an action packed thrill ride that will have your adrenaline pumping. Wick was asked in the preview, “Have you given any thought to where this ends?” which is followed by, “No one, not even you, can kill everyone.“

The trailer not only showcases that hyperactive violence but introduces us to new cast members in the Wick saga, Bill Skarsgard, Hiroyuki Sanada, Donnie Yen and singer Rina Sawayama, who is making her acting debut in the film but isn’t featured in the trailer. In addition to those new cast members, there are some familiar faces returning alongside Keanu Reeves. Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane and Lance Reddick.

Aforementioned, some have to wonder if the John Wick saga will ever end for such but back in August 2020, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer confirmed that a fifth film would be in production after Chapter 4. Keanu Reeves has also stated that he would continue making sequels, as long as the films are successful. So only time will tell if the fifth one will officially get a production start date.

John Wick: Chapter 4 will be released in theaters on March 24th, 2023.
