Your neighborhood web-slinger thought being a hero would be glamorous but he didn’t expect Vulture to be as vicious and cunning than your average neighborhood criminal.
The summer is truly exciting for the superhero genre as not only DC Comics’ ‘Wonder Woman’ is seeing a release but the new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe will arrive in the form of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Marvel Studios and Sony have just revealed a brand new trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming and this should be enough to garner the excitement that any uncertain fan may have about the new Spidey film. However, that may not be true given that when any Marvel movie trailer debuts the excitement seems to already exist.
Back in December, we got the first trailer and it gave the subtle teasers for the upcoming film. We saw the relationship between Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and the villain that will cause mayhem. Follow that up with a brand new film that gives us a different and thrilling look at Tom Holland’s first full solo adventure as the web-slinging superhero.
Here’s the synopsis:
“Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark. Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine, distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, but when the Vulture (Micheal Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.”
It’s really interesting to note that although Robert Downey Jr. is clearly having a prominent role in the movie, others are making their presence known in this movie. Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) are pegged to be returning and making cameos for the film. This is truly the version of Spider-Man that many have been wanting; the involvement of Marvel’s most iconic superheroes in a Spider-Man movie. Marvel and Sony know that this new version will be embraced by the fans given the reception Tom Holland received in Captain America: Civil War.
Here’s the trailer:
The cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming includes Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Bokeem Woodbine, Martin Starr, Angourie Rice, Logan Marshall-Green, Donald Glover, Hannibal Buress, Tony Revolori, and Jon Favreau.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is set for release on July 7, 2017.
