Review: “Slow Drag” By, Tribe Chillen

It’s  no secret that Tribe Chillin was dealing with various situations in life. Each member would go through a time of growth as life in the Sin City isn’t so glamorous. The members of the rising music group would pursue other ventures like Chief releasing his solo mixtape “Mind Living” & WAVE MMLZ‘s launching his own clothing line, album “Poly” producing various tracks. However, Dreamcatcher, Cloud, & ANDWHY would focus on other business outside the realm of music. As they returned from a short hiatus of performing together, last week we heard the release of a new song entitled “You Should Know“.

It practically served as a reminder to those who may have forgotten what Tribe Chillin is all about and the members involved. The next day, The Tribe would dub Tuesdays as #TribeTuesday solely for the purpose to promote their upcoming EP which will be released on January 10th, 2017. The Tribe’s EP will also be released on various platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, TIDAL, and Google Play.

With the EP coming in the beginning of 2017, we get a new song entitled “Slow Drag“. Unlike “You Should Know“, this one has a slower approach with those listening getting to know the chill side of each artist. The dedication put into this mixtape is showing from WAVE as he’s adding in new sounds to elevate the lyrics. Speaking of lyrics The Tribe has a way of executing the lyrics. Each one is a piece of their life being shared with the many fans that have shown endless support up until this point. The song may be titled ‘Slow Drag‘ but it’s far from being so as this song takes you on a thrill ride of The Tribe.
