It’s been some time since the release of Peter Jackson‘s 2005 remake of King Kong. Many were overjoyed with the remake as it served the purpose of bringing Kong back to a modern audience. However, Hollywood has a way to introduce a new audience to such iconic that a remake was eventually going to be made.

Earlier in the year as the news about Kong: Skull Island began to surface, news about Kong and Godzilla primed to fight in an upcoming film was the icing on the cake needed to get fans more excited for what was in store for Kong‘s reintroduction to the big screen. This past summer, the Warner Bros. studio revealed their first trailer of the highly anticipated Kong: Skull Island. Ever since there hasn’t been much talk about the prequel, however, earlier this week a new international trailer was unveiled. The trailer is compiled of previously-used footage. Despite that old footage being used, there’s a new shoot of the iconic figure Kong Kong.

Kong: Skull Island is being touted as a fully immersing experience for the audience as Legendary Pictures present a bold new take on the iconic beast. The film will take you into the mysteriously dangerous home of Kong as a team of explorers venture deep inside the treacherous, primordial island. This prequel is directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and written by John Gatins and Max Borenstein. Kong: Skull Island also features an international ensemble cast include Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John C. Reilly, Tian Jing, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, John Ortiz, Thomas Mann, Shea Whigham, and Eugene Cordero.

Here’s the new international trailer:

Kong: Skull Island hits theaters on March 10, 2017. Godzilla vs. King Kong is also slated for release on May 29, 2020.
