Q: How did the first song you ever produce come about?

Haresha: The first song I ever produced was made in 1998 and was about a blue bird though I can’t quite recall how I thought of it. The first song I ever recorded was about my late Uncle who is a big part of my life. When I sat down to write my first rap I tried to think of something I cared enough about to mark this occasion, and he was what I thought of. It came very quick once the pencil started scratching.

Q: Let’s talk about your first performance, what were your feelings going into it? Did you realize before stepping out on stage that music is your destiny?

Haresha: Nausea. Just kidding excitement! But I was hella nervous. My first show was a 420 show at a glass shop, Bud’s Glass Shop in Phoenix a couple years ago. Chief, Tribe, and I were there and this was the first time I ever met the tribe, though I and chief went back a couple years before that. I performed my first tape ‘The Chronicles of Haresha T’ and watched glass being blown feet from me. And I realized it the first time I bumped one of my recorded tracks in my car and it was satisfying and lit and I knew I wanted to keep making songs.

Q: We did ask Tribe Chillin in their second feature what were some comparative aspects between them, you, and FLOW. Our question(s) to you are, when did you and Tribe Chillin meet? And what did you see in Tribe Chillin that wanted you to work with them?

Haresha: I met the tribe at the 420 show in AZ. I saw their chemistry on stage as a group, the way they all expressed their words on staged physically, and their genuine hearts for this shit! Not to mention I fucked with their music and they’re all best boys with my boy Chief! But we all clicked right off the bat, there wasn’t any question.

Q: You’ve been able to experience a lot during your time as an artist, what would you say you’ve learned from other artists chasing the same dream you’re chasing?

Haresha: Have faith. Remember the love. Speak it into existence. Don’t stop.

Q: It may seem like we’re pushing the ball a little to the present, but what was the approach when ‘Haresha In the Cut’ was in its ‘idea phase’?

Haresha: ‘Haresha In The Cut’ was a peek into Haresha and an attempt to convey where I was at emotionally during that time which led to the drop, in the hopes that everyone could feel me a little better. The Cut was the Blue Mood Stu, the studio that raised me real shit, it was a different kind of level recording in there and I was blessed to experience that. So happy I got the opportunity to share it with the world. Well, everyone, that’s listening at least.

Q: Was there a message you wanted to send with ‘Haresha In the Cut’?

Haresha: In one line, “pay attention to your world”

Q: Thinking back to the very beginning of your career, how do you feel about your performance today and is much different for you now when you first started?

Haresha: It is a thousand times different from the beginning but I still have at least a thousand more steps to take in the direction of where I want to be in my performances.

Q: Does Haresha have any new music being prepared for the near future?

Haresha: My upcoming LP “Mind a’ Mine” Prod. MMLZ will be coming very soon and I got a few more stacked in the vault waiting for their time

Q: We thank you very much for your time as we do hope this isn’t the last we work together in any capacity. The year is almost over but that doesn’t mean it’s all over as anything can happen. Is there anything you’d like to say to your supporters/fans?

Thank you for the love I’ve received thus far, I’m having hella fun and don’t want to ever stop so keep vibing with me cause you’re all crazy awesome<3Haresha
