A couple of days ago, it seems like Ben Affleck has been wearing a certain costume Bruce Wayne’s alter-ego has made famous throughout the comics. The filmmakers have revealed our first look at the “Tactical Batsuit” which Affleck is quite the significant upgrade for the Dark Knight. Zack Snyder would showcase the new photo and announced that it was the last day they will be filming with this particular Batsuit hinting that they are in the “homestretch” of production.
Filming began on Justice League in mid-April at Leavesden Studios in the U.K., although Zack Snyder took a break in filming to unveil the first trailer at Comic-Con.
With the entire cast filming specific scenes separately, a lot of speculation was fueled when Henry Cavill didn’t appear in a video that featured the entire ‘Justice League’ cast gathering last week showing support for the Rezpect Our Water campaign. It’s a movement aimed to stop an oil pipeline from going through an Indian reservation. Cast member, Jason Momoa has championed this in the past so it only makes sense that his friends would support such a cause.
Now why does that pertain to Cavill, well little is known about how large or small a role his character Superman will have, especially after he “died” at the end of ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The final shot teased that the Man of Steel wasn’t really dead, and he’ll definitely be back in ‘Justice League’.
“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince (Gal Gadot), to face an even greater enemy in Justice League. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
Willem Dafoe (Nuidis Vulko), J.K. Simmons (Commissioner), and Amy Adams (Lois Lane) will also be joining the cast of Justice League. The film is written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer with Zack Snyder directing. Warner Bros has set the release date of ‘Justice League’ for November 17th, 2017 and the untitled sequel for a June 14th, 2019 release.
