‘Mortal Kombat X’ Kombat Pack 2 Confirmed? As Ed Boon Teases Fans
Mortal Kombat X is one of the best games of 2015. But with the initial release and the the few months of DLC, including new alternate costumes and characters in the form of a Kombat Pack, fans of the game can’t help but wonder if NetherRealm Studios will continue to support the game with more content.
Enter Kombat Pack 2….or at least what it would be called if NetherRealm wants to add more characters to Mortal Kombat X.
It’s not like it’s hard to find new characters. The story mode of MKX was chock-full of characters that weren’t playable, including Rain, Fujin and Sindel just to name a few. So will there be a Kombat Pack 2 in Mortal Kombat X ?
That’s yet to be seen but if you ask NetherRealm Studios president, Ed Boon you may come back frustrated.
You see, Ed Boon has a large presence on Twitter and has used the platform to not only promote his studio’s product but to interact with fans.
In a Twitter post, Boon used the #StraightOutta trending topic to tease the fans of Mortal Kombat X with some Kombat Pack 2 goodness. Or so you would think after he posted the following pic of the original Kombat Pack fighters of Predator , Tremor, Jason Voorhees and Tanya with a subtle message.
Take a look.
Not only is the winky smile ever present, but referring to the only Kombat Pack as “Kombat Pack 1” only drums up hope that a sequel pack of DLC characters is in the works. Considering there are working mods of Rain, Sindel and Baraka, Mortal Kombat X can totally pull off a Kombat Pack 2.
Will fans ever see a Kombat Pack 2 in Mortal Kombat X? Will fans have to continually be subjected to Ed Boon’s teases?
Probably and most definitely. Don’t change Mr. Boon.
But in the meantime, let us know if we will see a KP2 and who should be included down in the comments section below.
