‘Adapt Or Perish’ – Featuring: Tribe Chillin Presented by: Sparx Entertainment
Q: What made you first realize you wanted to pursue a career in music?
All of us make music purely out of the love of doing it. That’s how we all express ourselves for the most part. If money or career comes out of it, that would be amazing, but even if no one listened I think we’d still make music.
Q: Has Las Vegas’ lifestyle and myth-like aura been a driving force behind Tribe Chillin?
I think our city is a crazy place to start a music career. There are so many shows in Las Vegas, but very few are all ages or even 18+, so we’re playing for crowds that are mostly older than us.
Q: If you had to describe your music in three or four words, what would you call it?
Fun, Inspiring and Original.
Q: (Directed to Cloud): Given the fact that you guys have performed in many shows what have been the most influential shows to work for?
Cloud: We always appreciate going on stage and performing live music for an audience of people, but I would have to say that opening up for Da Mafia Six, also known as three6mafia, was the one show that was the most influential to us. The crowd really enjoyed our set and we really enjoyed performing for such legends in the music business.
Q: What are you songs about? (What specific themes do they cover?)
Our songs cover a range of topics, we speak on the lives we live and the kind of fun we have. We try to put a positive spin on pretty much everything we do; we try to focus on putting out a positive message that people can relate to.
Q: What do you feel distinguishes “an artist” from just a musician?
Wave: I think of myself as a musician before I was an artist. Artistry goes beyond music. You have to visualize the world you want to present to people as an artist, weather it’s videos, pictures or even what your saying.
Q: (Directed to Dreamcatcher): ‘If I Could’; What inspired you to make that song with ANDWHY?
Dreamcatcher: Andwhy lived right up the street from me at the time, Wave gave me the beat, we went our separate ways to write the verses. Once we met up, Andwhy had a verse with the hook and we made it from there. The lyrics inspired a lot by how we each can use weed to chill out and keep away from negativity.
Q: As an artist, how would you define SUCCESS?
Success is happiness for us.
Q: (Directed to Chief): What was your intention to release the album ‘Tribe & Friends 2’?
Chief: mainly to get a lot of friends involved, to have fun doing what we do, and to keep it original. We started with our friends, so we had to keep that going.
Q: What do you think makes you and your type of music unique from other artists?
I think we’re each so different individually, that when we come together, we pull from so many different styles. And when we make the music we’re inspired by so many different genres. It’s not pure hip-hop, it’s not trap music, it’s no single genre, we’re very diverse.
Q: How do you think you would like to be remembered by everyone if something were to happen to you suddenly?
Hopefully, hard working and positive. From the beginning it’s been positive vibes, and we live by that. Our music is everything to us, hopefully that would live on.
Q: As an artist, is there anything special you hope to be able to accomplish?
Chief: I want people to realize that things aren’t always as bad as they seem. I want to inspire people to live a good life and be happy.
Dreamcatcher: I just want to relate to the audience, and let them know you can come out of a bad situation. Life is what you make it.
Andwhy: I do all of this because I love music. Not for fame or fortune, I want to positively influence people.
Q: (Directed to all): In one how would you describe YOU; Tribe Chillin?
We’re a family; we always have each others backs. We were friends before we even made music and we make this music to make a positive impact on the people listening.
Finally we here at Sparx Entertainment would like to thank you for your time. We’ll continue to support you for a long time. Is there anything you’d like to say to your fans right now?
We love you, and appreciate you. We promise that this is just the beginning; we’ve got a lot more work in store for you.
