It includes taking someone’s feelings, needs, thoughts, wishes and preferences into consideration. It also means taking all of these seriously and give them worth and value. In fact, giving someone respect seems similar to valuing them and their thoughts, and feelings. It also seems to include acknowledging them, listening to them, being truthful with them, and accepting the individual beliefs.
Although this is a form of being considerate to others, there’s still those who take advantage and try to be a little too respectful and use the phrase, “If I wasn’t your friend I wouldn’t tell you.” That’s all well and good, but some times it’s not all fun to offend certain people. Like respect trying not to offend some is taking someone’s feelings, needs, thoughts, wishes, and preferences into consideration.
Now Mickey Elliott, a YouTube Starlet and proclaimed ‘Only Being Me’ individual gives you a little look into this topic of a little respect and trying not to offend people.
Synopsis: If you ever hear someone start their sentence off by saying ”no offense,” you better brace yourself to get offended. I’m not sure why we even bother saying this, and I’m curious to know if any of you are guilty of doing this.
