Country Prospect Craig Wayne Boyd Declared The Winner Of ‘The Voice’
Last night, hard work and determination paid off as Craig Wayne Boyd won “The Voice.” His unique vocals that blended country and rock attitude won over fans who continued to support him throughout the season.
Two of the powerful songs that he performed were Johnny Cash’s “I Walk the Line” in the style of Waylon Jennings, and the traditional hymnal, “The Old Rugged Cross.” Fans reacted by help landing those songs in top spots on the I-tunes music charts.
Craig Wayne Boyd grew up in Mesquite, Texas, and moved to Nashville to try to make it into the music business. He had a publishing deal with EMI. He worked with Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, Tom Hambridge, and Bryan White. Take a look back on his career with this exclusive interview.
Boyd has also been known for his charity work. In Kentucky, he was always willing to lend a hand with the Crockettsville Charity Concert. He also performed at WFKY’s St. Jude Jam a few years ago.
