Carrie Underwood To Release ‘Greatest Hits: Decade #1’ on Dec. 9th

Country Superstar Carrie Underwood is planning to release her first Greatest Hits album. The album will be entitled “Greatest Hits: Decade #1,” and will be released on Dec. 9.

The 2-disc album will contain 25 tracks, including two new tracks – “Something in the Water,” which is her current single, and “Little Toy Guns,” which she co-wrote with Hillary Lindsey (of Lady Antebellum) and Chris DeStefano. There will also be never-before-released versions of “How Great Thou Art,” which features Vince Gill, and was recorded live at “ACM Presents: Girls Night Out,” and original work tapes from the writing sessions of “So Small,” “Last Name” and “Mama’s Song.”

Underwood has sold over 15 million albums worldwide, and earned 15 #1 hits, co-writing nine of them. All this was achieved on four albums in less than eight years. She has won six Grammy Awards, 11 ACM Awards, 12 American Country Awards, seven American Music Awards, 16 Billboard Music Awards, five CMA Awards and five CMT Music Awards. She is a member of the Grand Ole Opry, having been inducted in 2008, and has been inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2009.

“Greatest Hits: Decade #1” chronicles Carrie’s musical journey from the start after winning “American Idol” in 2005 through today, and gives us a peak at the future with the two new tracks.
