WWE: Brock Lesnar May Only Wrestle Two Times For WWE

When Brock Lesnar pinned The Undertaker at “Wrestlemania 30,” it was a shocking moment. However, the idea was that he could then set himself up as someone who could truly make a star when he finally lost. When Lesnar beat John Cena at “SummerSlam” for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and completely destroy him in the process, it looked like that is what the WWE was setting Lesnar up to do. However, 411mania reported on Thursday that Lesnar may only fight two more matches between now and “Wrestlemania 31.”

This is actually horrible news and counterproductive to what the WWE hoped to accomplish. Honestly, since Lesnar won the title, he fought John Cena in a rematch one month later in September, only to lose by disqualification when Seth Rollins interfered. Lesnar has been gone ever since and won’t be back until the “Royal Rumble” in January 2015. That means that, since winning the title, Lesnar will only have fought one more match in four months, and it was to the same person he won the title from.

Even worse is that John Cena just beat Randy Orton at “Hell in a Cell” to earn the right to face Brock Lesnar for the title again. That is expected to be at “Wrestlemania 31” and might be considered a rubber match since they are 1-1 in recent title matches, although Lesnar’s loss was by disqualification. That also means that the only person that Lesnar has fought since beating Undertaker is John Cena three times. Cena is already a made-man, so beating Lesnar would mean nothing.

Then, the word is that Lesnar won’t wrestle again until “Wrestlemania 31,” where he will fight the winner of the Royal Rumble match. At this time, that still looks to be Roman Reigns. The problem is that Lesnar would have only faced John Cena three times and Undertaker once, so Reigns beating him would look impressive, but nowhere near as special as it could have looked if Lesnar had tore through the roster.
