WWE: Dolph Ziggler Talks About Sting Joining WWE
The WWE rumors have been running rampant since Sting left TNA Impact Wrestling last year. He eventually did sign a merchandise deal with the WWE that allows them to use his name and likeness in merchandise and also allowed his inclusion in the upcoming WWE 2K15 videogame. However, fans are still wanting Sting to officially join the WWE and wrestle his first match with the company.According to PWS on Monday, Dolph Ziggler recently weighed in with his opinion of Sting coming to the WWE.
While many fans want to see Sting finally wrestle in the WWE, there are others who know that legends like that returning will take spots away from young talent who work week-after-week. One of the reasons that CM Punk quit the WWE this year was because Batista returned and immediately got into the “Wrestlemania 30” main event over established stars like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.
When asked about Sting joining the WWE and possibly getting a shot with The Undertaker, Ziggler seemed unhappy about that. He said that Sting is a legend of the business and can call out anyone he wants to if he makes his debut in the WWE. He said that legends can do anything they please, but they shouldn’t just show up and get handed out matches. That happens a lot in the WWE, with The Rock as a perfect example.
However, Dolph Ziggler said that he would love to see Sting show up in the WWE. Ziggler said that he would like for Sting to be involved in every possible way. He admitted that some younger talents will lose some TV time because of it, but it is rare to see someone as legendary as Sting, who has never been in a WWE ring. Ziggler said that, at the end of the day, it is about giving WWE fans what they want above all else.
