Showtime Puts The Pressure On Floyd Mayweather

A lot of people still believe that the mega fight between Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao and Floyd “Money Man” Mayweather Jr. will happen next year despite the issues and intrigues that continue to ruin the credibility of an emissary who works hard just to seal the so-called lucrative fight. A report posted yesterday, Oct. 4, 2014 by James Patrick Quizon on the sports section of International Business Times confirms the issue.

According to the narration of James, Manny Pacquiao has allegedly told ex-Gov. Manny Pinol that the fight could possibly happen next year. The report added that Manny has also told ex-Governor Pinol that Showtime, an American premium cable and satellite television network that serves as the flagship service of the Showtime Networks subsidiary of CBS Corporation, is putting the pressure on Floyd Mayweather to take the fight against the Filipino ring icon.

The parties involved are still not issuing any statement regarding the circulated issue, but if this rumor is really true, the fight fans should rejoice because after almost four years, they will now see the “PacMan” fighting against the “Money Man” in the ring. You should also give credit to the hardworking men and women of Showtime and Top Rank if the fight happens for their patience just to give you the world class entertainment.

Since 2010, when the fight fans were just starting to ask Floyd to fight Manny in the ring, Bob Arum started to work things out just to convince the “Money Man,” but unfortunately, Floyd turned it down and refused to do it. He insisted that Manny should undergo drug test because he believes that Manny was using performance enhancing drugs. Manny agreed to do it just to prove that he is not using that kind of drugs, but despite his willingness to undergo drug test, the fight still remains a dream.
