Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War (2022): Trailer
War! Bleach creator, Tite Kubo reveals new details about the upcoming franchise’s revival!
The new trailer and visual for the upcoming Bleach: The Thousand Year Blood War has been revealed. The new arc will be a continuation of the Bleach storyline and will featuring the climactic final battle between the powerful Shinigami of the Soul Society and the Quincies.
During the Anime Expo that took place on July 1st to July 4th, fans were treated to a new look at a variety of anime franchises with some making a return. One of the most anticipated series that that also revealed some major new information was Bleach: The Thousand-Year Blood War. The information included major voice actor from the original English Dub returning, some characters that will be involved and who will be involved during this war.
The new trailer and key art opens with the voice-over by 1st Division Captain, Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto, detailing the threat posed by the revival of the Quincy King, Yhwach then, showing the series’ protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki. The trailer also reintroduces some of the series’ heroes as well as some of the names and likenesses of the Quincy’s generals that will appear throughout the arc. We also see a full shot of the entire Stern Ritter operatives who are working alongside the Quincy King with a similiar shot of the Shinigami.
At the panel, series creator Tite Kubo made a video message to fans stating that the returning series will have a modern contemporary coloring with a new and refreshing viewing experience. He also added that the anime has already omitted some scenes that were featured in the manga that he wishes to put back if possible. Lastly, he exclaims that he’s working closely in all aspects of the anime.
Bleach: The Thousand-Year Blood War will be directed by Tomohisa Taguchi (Twin Exorcists) at Studio Pierrot, the studio who produced the original series. Masaki Hiramatsu will pen the series’ scripts alongside Taguchi. The series will also see Masashi Kudo returning as the character designer, and the legendary Shiro Sagisu returning to add more amazing music as composer. All this excitement for the new series has also spawned the announcement of Bleach spin-off manga and anime series, Burn the Witch.
An advanced screening of the first two episodes will be held in Tokyo on September 11th with the anime premiering on TV Tokyo in October up until the ending of the franchise.
