The history of the Viking Age has just begun!
E3 2021 kicks off with Ubisoft showcasing an array of video games coming this year well into the following one. Ubisoft has revealed new content to come this year for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Along with a third expansion coming in 2022.
Announced a couple of weeks ago, Eivor’s story continues after launch with his adventures into Ireland, Wrath of the Druids. The second expansion, The Siege of Paris, is coming later this summer. For those who love history or want to further appease their curiosity of the people in the Viking Age, The Discovery mode is coming this fall and will focus on the history.

Additionally, The Siege of Paris will see the return of a fan favorite feature: black box infiltration missions. Leaning into the franchise’s sandbox roots, these will give you an objective to complete, but how you go about accomplishing it will be up to you. You can also expect new abilities, weapons, gear and enemies with the second expansion.
If there’s one thing that Valhalla continues to do is, refining themselves with each new update. As for 2022, all Ubisoft said specifically was that more expansions – plural – were on the way. As you’d guess from the fact Muspelheim will be involved, at least one of these will involve the franchise’s more mystical side, which was not a focus in the recent Ireland expansion. “Odin’s not done with Eivor yet,” Ubisoft teased.
The Siege of Paris, along with Wrath of the Druids, comes packaged together in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s $40 season pass. Available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Stadia. The season pass will also feature The Legend of Beowulf bonus mission.
