Since Asuka‘s defeat at the hands of Charlotte Flair, the odds haven’t been in the favor of Empress of Tomorrow. This past month’s title match against Carmella was another added mark in the lost column as the shocking returning of James Ellsworth secured the victory for Carmella at Money in the Bank. Announced this past Tuesday night SD Live General Paige, Carmella will defend her title against The Empress of Tomorrow in a singles match, giving Asuka another chance to redeem the lost at the past event.
After, Carmella‘s surprising victory at Money in the Bank, Asuka would gain a small amount of satisfaction when she interrupted Carmella‘s championship celebration and laid out Ellsworth. This past Tuesday, Ellsworth would bite off more than he could chew as he ranted on Twitter about how he felt about Asuka. The rant on Twitter would give General Manager a reason for a “date” to be set between Ellsworth and a certain someone:
Although next week will be Ellsworth vs. Asuka, there’s no doubt the WWE SD Live Women’s Champion, Carmella will be somewhere trying to seize the moment only to get into the mind of Asuka.
Here’s the updated match card:
