Injustice 2: An Underwater Mercenary, A Guardian, & A God

Developed by NetherRealm Studios, Injustice 2 continues to thrive as the leading action-packed fighting game pitting our favorite superheroes against one another from the DC Universe. The tagline ‘Every Battle Defines You’ laid true as it allowed players to personalize their own iconic DC characters with unique and powerful gear earned throughout the game. From the beginning, the roster was already stellar with the likes of Batman, Superman, Brainiac, Darkseid, Wonder Woman, and much more so a few more additions would only give an ever diverse field of fighting a new fantasy for match-ups. The first DLC pack included Red Hood, Sub-Zero (Mortal Kombat), and Starfire.

Shortly after the release of this innovative fighting game, the first DLC ‘Fighter Pack’ there were a few remaining silhouettes that cued the guessing game from fans about who’s next. According to CinemaBlend, although many are guessing who is next these could just be placeholders to the actual characters being revealed. Other than some silhouettes like the latest DLCs, Mortal Kombat’s Raiden and underwater mercenary DC villain, Black Manta.

Following this reveal, you could imagine the roar of cheers seeing Black Manta being shown coming through the waterfall, and the surprise of Hellboy catching Manta’s rockets lighting his cigarette ready to fight. Another release that made its way to the public is Black Manta’s gameplay video. From the looks of it, Black Manta will add this unique dynamic that will kick the pro-players out of their comfort zone.

Archnemesis to Aquaman and sworn enemy of the sea, Black Manta proves that his brilliant intellect, armored battle suit, and an array of powerful weapons are more than enough to make him a worthy opponent for the king of Atlantis.

There hasn’t been any release on the gameplay featuring, Raiden or Hellboy but given that NetherRealm Studios has released the DLC in a month’s span there’s no doubt those features will be coming soon. Black Manta will join the battle to define his legacy officially on September 12. Injustice 2 is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One
