Explore the brand new adventure in a galaxy far far away with the remanents of Imperials on a mission to defeat the remaining Rebel Alliance.
The battle for supremacy erupted as E3 this year as, it indeed shine with extensive new titles making their way to key consoles, the PS4/Pro, Xbox One/X, Nintendo Switch/Wii U/3DS. One game from the Xbox E3 Conference that truly was the star of the show was eye-popping, visually satisfying, and cinematic-appealing, Star Wars Battlefront. The 2015 release of SW: Battlefront immersed fans into their favorite sci-fi franchise by offering some great graphics, gameplay, and a competitive multiplayer but it still lacked some aspects that could’ve made it the best. The developers of DICE have listened and respectfully expanded the sequel, Star Wars Battlefront II by revamping the multiplayer mode for an even diverse competitive feel and now introducing a single-play story mode that’s considered to be canon.
The single-player story is said to be set during the narrative path spanning the 30 years between ‘Return of the Jedi’ and ‘The Force Awakens’. In the eyes of Inferno Squad commander, Iden Versio (Janina Gavankar), a soldier diverse in a variety of useful skills is on a mission to carry out the orders of Emperor Palpatine/Lord Sidious to take down the Rebel Alliance. As Versio learns of the destruction of the second Death Star and her leader’s death, she and her father prepare to “do what you do best.“
During the reveal of Battlefront II, there was also some new information when it comes to the piloting of the X-Wings, TIE Fighters, and other space combat vehicles making their debut. The controls have been revamped where it gives the player more control to evade incoming missiles and barrage of shots coming at you. You also get a chance to explore more about this during the campaign mode as Iden does her best to unleash all kinds of hell on the Rebel’s X-Wing Squadron.
Since E3, it should come as no surprise that the ‘Star Wars Battlefront 2’ gameplay reveal has been watched nearly 10 million times in just over a week. The battle has diversified the usage of new weapons, an all-new class system, various new star cards, maps that will be spanning across the eras of Star Wars. The heroes that were revealed during the big reveal are Luke Skywalker, Yoda, Darth Maul, Rey, Boba Fett, Kylo Ren, Finn, and Captain Phasma (so far.) We know each will have unique gameplay that could swing the battle either in or out of your favor. Lastly, for the first time ever, all DLCs (maps, modes, heroes, etc) will be free!
The Assault on Theed event gave the fans hope for a more intense and combative game that will be played for years. The Multiplayer Beta has been revealed to come out this Fall, so whether you’re a Rebel or an Imperial soldier get ready to fight.
