It’s been a long time coming as DC Comics has fired up their bid to be the top studio in terms of superheroes with their latest trailer for the upcoming Justice League movie. In the trailer, we all see appearances by Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Erza Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) battling an unspeakable evil. However, we don’t see any shred of Superman (Henry Cavill). For months it’s been said that Cavill’s Superman will play a big role in the film although only snapshots of his appearance have been revealed. It’s obvious the Man of Steel will be making his presence known as the ending of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice gave subtly hints with a heartbeat and levitating rocks from his coffin.

While there was a collective mixture of reviews, Warner Bros. would still continue in their direction with the DCEU plans as the movie raked in $872.7 million at the box office. Their next films, Wonder Woman are slated for a Summer release following with Justice League for Fall season release. These two films will determine whether the DCEU will be a viable competitor in the superhero film market; at least in my honest opinion.

However, from the looks of the trailer, the buck won’t stop at this film as it primed to be a stellar film with fast and furious action, compelling storytelling, and that intangible superhero humor that lightens up the film. The synopsis itself gives you this tone of urgency along with Bruce Wayne scrambling for time to ensemble the Justice League team.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy.

Here’s the official trailer:

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, with the screenplay by Chris Terrio which will feature an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen and J. K. Simmons.

Justice League will ensemble in theaters November 2017.
