The tale of Jack Sparrow isn’t over as the be lovely hated captain sail the seas once again in search of controlling them. During the Super Bowl, we finally got an in-depth look at Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. This is the fifth installment of the Caribbean franchise and with the footage, we saw this film may be the best adventure yet. There were a lot of question surrounding whether or not we’ll see the return of Will Turner and during the Super Bowl spot we also got our first look at Orlando Bloom’s Will Turner.

Following the end of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (2007), Will Turner became the new captain of The Flying Dutchman and was cursed to sail the seas and ferry the dead to the other side. The curse bounds whoever is captaining The Flying Dutchman at seas while only allowing a return to land for one day every ten years. In the trailer, we saw a muddy Jack Sparrow taking a swig of the good ole pirate rum along with former Captain of the Black Pearl, Barbossa who seem frightened at the sight of Captain Salazar.

Synopsis:
Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea…including him. Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.

Here’s the Super Bowl LI trailer for ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales released on Sunday:

Prior to the release of the trailer new poster was released on the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’ which gave us our best look at Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow. Although we got a little glimpse of the captain in the trailer, the poster features Sparrow front and center with an ‘X’ on his right cheek and the incorrect spelling of Jack spelled “Jakc”. This could mean that Captain Salazar has his sights set on the Sparrow and this possibly is the end of Captain Jack Sparrow.
