Happy ‘Pokemon‘ Friday!
We left off last week, with an intense struggle between a father and son in the ranks of Team Plasma. The resurgence of the nefarious group would take a whole new meaning other than liberating Pokémon. After Colress and Zinzolin captured the DNA Splicer from freezing the city of Opecluid, the return of Ghetsis would be revealed along with the actual plan he wants to realize; take over Unova to ensure no trainer would oppose his will. Ghetsis and N would battle in the Giant Chasm where Kyurem would showcase its power under Ghetsis‘ control, N would use his Reshiram to battle his former father-like figure to stop his plans in the hope of liberating the mindset of Ghetsis. The battle would take a turn as the DNA Splicer the devious leader possessed would be used to fuse Reshiram and Kyurem together to make an even powerful dragon. N would try his best to get Ghetsis to stop but in the attempts of blasting N away failing, Hilbert and Zekrom would intervene leaving fans to wonder what happens next…
In this week’s episode, we leave the Unova region and traverse the beautiful landscapes of Kalos with a glamourous presentation from a unique individual that wants to bring all the people of Kalos together. Lysandre a dapper and intelligent entrepreneur gives the media in attendance that device to bring the people together in the form of the Holo Caster created by Lysandre Labs. The Holo Caster allows people to have virtual conversations with the use of holograms which could revolutionize the Pokémon world. After the conference, Lysandre, and an unknown beauty would be having a conversation about making the world beautiful and keeping beauty in the world forever. After the success of the Holo Caster, Lysandre would donate to ensure the health of Pokémon and seemed to be upset by the mention of a secret project called ‘Project Y‘. Lysandre would get word of something important as he headed for Geosenge Town where he enters a secret lab filled with Team Flare members. Lysandre would stand in awe as a mysterious object sits in the center of the room. The object pulsates a blood red aura and inside we get a glimpse of Yveltal as the Legendary Pokémon opens its eyes…

The presentation in this episode totally matched the beauty that is Kalos. From the blazing entrance of Lysandre to the extravagant entrance to his Geosenge Town secret lab, it was the power of a beautiful presentation that gave Lysandre his influence. We also got the behind the scenes look at what Team Flare, Lysandre, and his plans to keep Kalos and the world beautiful at the sacrifice of getting rid of everything that’s “ugly” in his eyes. The main focus was on how Team Flare‘s leader Lysandre obsession will be realized through the use of a secret weapon. Honestly, I’ve always had that reserved feeling that Kalos and the entire scope of the game literally felt like the end. Almost had me at a point of fear like it could happen in reality. You get the sense that with Lysandre and the talks of ‘Project Y‘ that everything will come to a head and that’s why Pokémon continues to get better with each release.
