Pokémon ‘Generations’: The Vision

Last time, we were introduced to the offspring of Team Rocket‘s leader, Giovanni as spoke with Looker. Looker would intercept Silver in what was an unknown area at first. The story would also feature Team Rocket at Goldenrod City‘s Radio Station broadcasting a signal in the hopes their leader would hear to breathe new life into the once famed criminal organization. Unfortunately for Team Rocket the call was never heard leaving the once notorious group to disband into the shadows. The episode left off showing Silver standing at the steps of Indigo Plateau preparing to face off against the Elite Four.
Yesterday, episode 7 would feature another notorious team but in the region of Hoenn. Team Magma has the conquest of changing the world’s landmass by awakening the Continent Pokémon. In ‘The Vision‘ we get a first-hand look at how Team Magma and leader Maxie handle the recent invasion of their headquarter. It’s interesting to note that this episode focused on Admin Courtney marveling in the delusional brilliance of Maxie‘s plan and dedication to Team Magma. She would even have a vision of Team Magma getting attacked by Primal Groudon when she realizes this the intruder and his Sceptile reach the submarine port before drills into the deeps of the ocean floor, but Admin Courtney stays behind to battle the intruder sending out her Camerupt.
The way Maxie and Admin Courtney interact with one another is like a father and daughter relationship. He seems to not only care a lot about her but wants her to be strong for the team. However, Maxie could be using her for his own personal gain. In my opinion, this episode was the first one to actually be based on emotional attachment and how megalomaniacs can have an impact on someone so innocent.
