Pokemon ‘Sun & Moon’: Who’s That Pokemon?! (New Pocket Monsters Revealed)

Written by UkNO
The Pokemon Company released a new video yesterday morning showcasing seven new Pokemon. I personally have to say is these are truly some strange and interesting Pokemon that will add some great diversity, in terms of looks and their abilities. The video marked the first look of new Pokemon since E3 a couple weeks ago. To give a little recap, the Pokemon’s E3 reveal showed off parts of the upcoming Nintendo 3DS games Pokemon Sun and Moon.
In the new video although it’s in Japanese some of the new Pokemon show their ability. Drampa, Togedemaru, Vikavolt, Cutiefly, Bruxish, Charjabug, and Tapu Koko are the names of the new creatures. In the English trailer, we get these seven Pokemon along with a couple of new Poke and the protector of the ecosystem. This holiday season they can spark up your team.

TAPU KOKO
Tapu Koko is the guardian deity of Melemele Island, one of the islands of the Alola region. Sent out to battle by the powerful trainer Hala, this electric/fairy-type has the most dangerous look solely based off the designed and a little bit of the gameplay being seen. Tapu’s electric ability is superb as it the Electric Surge Ability raises the power of any Electric-type moves for Pokemon on the ground and preventing any Pokemon from falling asleep. Can’t wait to have this fierce Pokemon a part of my team.CUTIEFLY – Bug/Fairy
The name is definitely not far off given what it looks like. It seems like this Pokemon has the mixture of a mosquito and some kind of bird. Maybe it could be a lightening bug? Whatever this delightful Pokemon is inspired by lesson one in Pokemon never let the cutest of Pokemon fool you.TOGEDEMARU – Electric/Steel
Togedemaru is the Roly-Poly Pokémon that gathers electricity and stores it. The long needle that grows from the back of its head works as a lightning rod to attract electricity.BRUXISH – Water/Psychic
Bruxish emits a strong psychic power from the protuberance on its head while grinding its teeth loudly. Some Bruxish have the new Dazzling Ability that prevents opponents from using priority moves that normally strike first.VIKAVOLT – Electric
Vikavolt, the evolution of Charjabug, is a fortress of speed through the forest of Aloha. Using its huge jaws to control a beam of electricity, Vikavolt uses that that forms fire from its mouth.DRAMPA – Normal/Dragon
Honestly, one of the most interesting ones next to Tapu Koko, Drampa are dragons that live alone in the mountains 10,000 feet above sea level. Drampa’s ‘Berserk Ability’ raises its Special Attack stat by one when its HP drops below half.ROCKRUFF – Rock
Rockruff has an excellent sense of smell, and once it has smelled an odor, it doesn’t forget. There are tales of these Pokémon getting separated from their Trainers, then using the faintest traces of their scent to track them for days until they are reunited.KOMALA – Normal
No one has ever seen a Komala awake. It eats, travels, and even battles while sound asleep. According to ancient people, its saliva can be used as medicine for the sick or sleepless. Komala has the Comatose Ability that keeps it perpetually in a drowsing state, preventing it from getting any other status conditions.
Also featured in the new trailer is Zygarde’s new forms that were teased in various clips throughout the Pokemon ‘Mega Evolution’ mini-series.
