Fifty Shades Of Grey Finally Gets A Rating

The Motion Picture Association of America has given “Fifty Shades of Grey” an R rating, just 35 days shy of the film’s release. Fans who have read the successful trilogy penned by E.L. James have often wondered to what extent director Sam Taylor-Johnson will adapt the erotica, and we now know the picture will feature “graphic nudity.”

MPAA’s rating is due to the film’s “strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior and graphic nudity.” Adding to exciting news, singer Ellie Goulding’s new single “Love Me Like You Do,” which will be featured on the “Fifty Shades of Grey” soundtrack, hit airwaves for the first time Wednesday morning on Capital FM. The upbeat melody, that can be heard here, is scheduled for release on February 15th.

Dakota Johnson portrays literature student Anastasia Steele whose life changes forever when she meets the handsome, yet tormented, billionaire Christian Grey played by Jamie Dornan. The film also stars Jennifer Ehle, Marcia Gay Harden, Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford, Rita Ora and Max Martini. “Fifty Shades of Grey” opens in theaters nationwide on February 13th, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
