‘Cinderella’ Trailer Brings To Life One Of Disney’s Beloved Fairy Tales
One of Disney’s most iconic fairy tales is getting a live-action remake. After the recent success of “Maleficent”, Disney announced that they will be bringing to life one of their most enduring animated classics, “Cinderella”, as a fully realized, live-action film.
Inspired by both the Disney animated film, and Perrault’s version of “Cinderella”, this new version of the classic tale will chronicle the magical journey of Ella, a young girl who is forced to become a servant to her vain and selfish stepmother and stepsisters after the tragic demise of her father. With the help of her kind fairy Godmother, Cinderella must find the courage to win the heart of the handsome prince and make her dreams come true.
The film will feature a stellar cast including Lily James who will star in the title role of Cinderella, Helena Bonham Carter who will play the part of the Fairy Godmother, and Cate Blanchett who will bring to life Cinderella’s evil stepmother, Lady Tremain.
Cinderella is scheduled to be released March 13, 2015
