WWE: Hulk Hogan & Sting’s ‘WrestleMania 31’ Opportunity In Question

Hulk Hogan has made it clear that he would like to have one more WWE match at “Wrestlemania” before he calls it quits for his career. Ever since Sting signed a promotional deal with the WWE, his fans have excitedly discussed the chance for him to wrestle in a WWE ring for the first time ever, with a match against The Undertaker the biggest wish. PWS reported on Wednesday that the WWE has a policy in place that will determine if either man receives this opportunity.

Ever since Jerry “The King” Lawler suffered a heart attack live on WWE television after wrestling in a match on “WWE Monday Night Raw,” the WWE has implemented a strict policy for any wrestler over the age of 45 before they are allowed to wrestler or do anything physical for the WWE. All wrestlers must pass a strict physical before they are allowed to do anything, which is why Hulk Hogan hasn’t even thrown a punch in his appearances since returning to the WWE.

If Hulk Hogan wants to wrestle one more match at a “Wrestlemania” show, he will have to pass this physical. That might not be easy since he has had so many back surgeries over the years. Hogan will have to prove he is in proper physical condition to get back into the ring. The same goes for Ric Flair assumedly, although he has been part of angles with physical contact and his recent health scares make that a little dubious.

The same deal goes for Sting, although he has worked as an active wrestler more recently than either Hogan or Flair. Sting has never had any serious medical problems, outside of regular wear and tear on his body over the years. However, if Sting wants his one last match to take place in the WWE, he will have to pass the physical. Out of Sting and Hogan, the best chance for fans to see one of their legendary heroes has to be seeing Sting finally step into a WWE ring
