WWE: Chris Jericho Feels Dean Ambrose Is The Future Face Of WWE
Chris Jericho is on a short break with the WWE, but will return for some matches in Europe next month. After that, he will leave for a longer period as he begins to tour with his metal band Fozzy once again. It is during times like this that younger WWE stars need to step up and make their name. Jericho has an idea of one superstar who will be a huge star for a long time in the WWE. According to PWS on Friday, Jericho said that Dean Ambrose has that WWE “X” factor.
When The Shield was running all over everyone in the WWE, a lot of people thought Roman Reigns was going to be the biggest pushed star, Seth Rollins was easily the best wrestler and Dean Ambrose was the best talker and character of the three. A lot of people have compared Ambrose to former WWE legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Jake the Snake Roberts and Brian Pillman.
Chris Jericho has another comparison. Jericho said that Dean Ambrose is more like former WWE star Jeff Hardy. While the two may seem nothing alike, Jericho pointed out that Hardy had that “X” factor, something that just pushed someone to the top no matter what obstacles were placed in front of them. Jericho said wrestlers can be taught to take bumps and have a certain look, but Ambrose has that something special that just makes him stand out to the audience.
Much like Stone Cold Steve Austin many years ago, Dean Ambrose has that “X” factor that makes WWE fans cheer for him. Chris Jericho said that he feels that Ambrose is the closest thing the WWE has right now to the next face of the WWE. While Ambrose is a loose cannon, Jericho sees him as the best bet for the biggest babyface in the WWE.
