WWE 2K19: They Don’t Want None! (Reveal)

2K Sports has officially announced the sixth installment in the WWE 2K series along with the cover the star for the game that will be released on October 9th of this year. The press conference opened up with WWE RAW/SmackDown Live commentator, Corey Graves confirming he’s been in the process of the studio recording lines for the upcoming game. He also acknowledged being part of the games as a commentator and wrestler. Soon after, AJ Styles would get introduced on stages and take over for the remainder of the show to reveal that he is this year’s WWE 2K cover star and the official tagline for the game “Never Say Never“.
AJ Styles would join an incredible list of other WWE Superstars that dawned the 2K cover star role such as, The Rock (2K14), John Cena (2K15), “Stone Cold” Steve Austin (2K16), Brock Lesnar (2K17), and Seth Rollins (2K18).
In addition to the unveiling Styles as the star, he and 2K would introduce a new challenge for those tough enough to accept it, the ‘WWE 2K19 Million Dollar Challenge‘. To participate eligible players must accomplish four tasks:
- Finish new to-be-announced mode in the game.
- Submit a promotional video proving they can beat Styles in the game.
- Four semifinalists will be selected to compete.
- The final winner will earn the chance to compete against Styles in the game. If they defeat him, they win a million dollars.
The competition will run from October 9th, 2018 through to January 31st, 2019.
*2K has revealed that participants must be 18 years of age and reside in one of the 50 United States & D.C., Australia, Belgium, Canada (excluding Quebec), France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore, Spain & Switzerland. Players must also have a stable internet connection.
The game will also be released on PS4, Xbox One, PC with three editions alongside it, the Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition Here’s what’s in each:
