Pokémon: The First Movie Returning This Fall
The 20th Anniversary of Pokémon has brought some amazing new ventures and shocking nostalgia. The nostalgia continued with the release of the new mobile game Pokémon GO, which surged the popularity. In recent months, many fans have enjoyed the fresh new look at the Pokémon world through Pokémon Generations. Earlier in the year, we would also be introduced to a tease of the seventh generation coming out through Pokémon Sun and Moon.
If that wasn’t enough for the Pokémon world to relish in reliving some serious memories and creating new one well it seems one more gift to the fans is on the way wth Pokemon: The First Movie. Pokémon.com broke the news that the film will be making its two-day-only return to theaters nationwide as Cinemark and The Pokémon Company have partnered up. The movie will be playing in more than 200 theaters with multiple showings each day.
Ash Ketchum is on a mission to become the world’s greatest Pokemon trainer. Although he’s successfully captured many of the 151 types of electrically charged Pokémons, each possessing its own unique powers, his greatest challenge lies ahead of him. Can he and his friends Misty, Brock and Pikachu conquer the all-powerful Mewtwo, a bio-engineered Pokemon who plans to rule the galaxy with his own strain of super-charged Pokémons?
It will truly accommodate those who want a nostalgic moment or to see it for the first time. Let’s not forget that this movie will have an added bonus, “Pikachu’s Vacation” which is an in-film short before the initial movie starts. Legendary Pictures seems to be taking their hand at working on a live-action Pokémon movie based on the Detective Pikachu game, but may not out for a couple of years.
“Pokémon: The First Movie” returns to theaters on October 29th to November 1st. Presale for the tickets is on sale now as tickets are available on Cinemark.com
