Doubt Arises For Daniel Craig Returning As James Bond
A lot of people have been led to believe that Daniel Craig will step down as 007 for the James Bond 25 movie, which has yet to get an official title, although nothing official has yet to be confirmed. We have already seen a number of different actors being linked to the possibility of taking over from Daniel as James Bond, should the actor decide to call it a day.
It was recently reported that Daniel Craig has signed up to star in a new television series, which led to many to suggest that this means he has decided to end his time as James Bond. However, a representative for the actor has now come out to insist that there is no truth to the rumours and that Daniel has yet to make an official decision on his future as the character.
It will be interesting to see what Daniel Craig does decide to do and if he does decide to end his time as James Bond, which direction they will go in looking for a new 007. There has been talk of a first-ever black James Bond, a first ever female James Bond, and even the idea of going younger with the character.
Reports on Monday suggest that Craig will holster his Walther PPK in favor of starring in a 20-episode, multiple-series TV adaptation of Jonathan Franzen’s book Purity. The project, Deadline reported, will be produced by Scott Rudin, with Oscar-nominated Todd Fields taking charge of the script and directing.
Released in September 2015, Purity follows the fortunes of Pip Tyler, a young woman who seeks the help of German activist Andreas Wolf to uncover the secrets of her past, including her long-lost father.
For those who want to see what many believe to be Craig’s last appearance as the iconic spy, ‘SPECTRE’ is available on DVD/Blu-Ray now!
