‘UNCENSORED’ – Featuring: JackEL Presented by: Sparx Entertainment
Q: How would you describe your music for the public audience?
Melodic radio friendly up beat energetic music. I like to make music that you would dance to if you heard it in a club or on the radio. I have fun making all genres of music, from Alternative Rock, to EDM to Rap
Q: Thinking back to early childhood, what was your first experience with music like? What song do you remember most as a child?
I remember playing instruments from a very young age, and whenever I saw an instrument at my friends house, I would have to play it even if I didn’t know how at all. I actually still do this. Music has always intrigued me. I remember learning to play the guitar, and my dad told me he wouldn’t teach me more unless I started coming up with my own music. So from a really early age I was thinking creatively and coming up with original music. Writing songs for me and my friends to play.
Q: As a child growing up, music surrounds us: what type of music did you hear the most back then? How does it differ from what you listen to now?
The music I personally listen to has always changed throughout the years. I’ve gone through fazes of almost every genre and it’s constantly changing. When I was young teenager around thirteen and fourteen, I was really into grunge and Nirvana music. But right after that faze was the electronic music faze that hit me at fourteen and fifteen. I now at the age of eighteen really enjoy hip hop and good melodic music. I like music with soul and music that has a story too it. I like aggressive bangers, but I also enjoy music you lay alone and cry too haha! Two complete different ends of the spectrum and everything in between.
Q: How does your family support your music career?
I’ve been really lucky in my life, and have run into many mentors and family members who have really supported and helped out my career. I have a very supportive mom and dad who knew I would make it in the music scene from an early age. I’ve been blessed to be surrounded with such support.
Q: What has been your strong influence to continue your career?
I really can’t see myself doing anything else. I have worked a couple jobs for short periods of time in my life, but music has always got me through the hours of work. I can make ten tracks in a day and still be in the mood to create another one after that. I enjoy having my own hours and enjoy being surrounded by music all day every day. I really believe in creativity, and any way I can be unique and do things that have never been done before I am down. I think the reason that I kept going as a kid and got where I am today, is that I started seeing results from my music early on. I showed my friends and they all heard the potential from the first song, and that made me feel good to see my friends enjoy my music. It’s the same thing today.
